1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and guidelines for using NeuraWrite. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to comply with this policy in full. This AUP supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict, the Terms of Service govern.

2. Permitted Uses

NeuraWrite is designed to assist with legitimate writing, research, and content creation tasks. Permitted uses include:

  • Research, drafting, and reference document creation
  • Business documents — proposals, reports, white papers, RFP/RFI responses
  • SEO content, marketing copy, and social media content
  • Personal and professional writing assistance and editing
  • Content humanization and refinement for clarity or style
  • AI detection scoring to understand how content reads to detectors
  • Plagiarism checking on your own work
  • Source research and citation assistance
  • Document storage, organization, and export

All permitted uses are subject to the restrictions in this policy and our Terms of Service. Legitimate use does not authorize any activity listed in Section 3.

3. Prohibited Uses

You may not use NeuraWrite for any of the following. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive.

Illegal & Harmful Content

  • Generate content that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation
  • Create content that promotes, glorifies, incites, or facilitates violence, terrorism, or illegal activities
  • Produce defamatory, libelous, or fraudulent content about any individual or entity
  • Generate content designed to harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate any person
  • Create malware, ransomware, phishing content, exploit code, or other cybersecurity threats
  • Generate instructions for creating biological, chemical, nuclear, or radiological (CBRN) weapons or other weapons capable of mass casualties
  • Produce content that facilitates human trafficking, forced labor, or exploitation
  • Generate content that sexualizes minors in any form — this is an absolute prohibition and will be reported to relevant authorities

Deceptive & Fraudulent Practices

  • Impersonate any person, organization, government body, or legal entity
  • Generate fake reviews, testimonials, endorsements, or ratings
  • Create disinformation, fabricated news, or coordinated inauthentic content intended to deceive the public
  • Generate content for political influence operations or coordinated manipulation campaigns
  • Produce fake professional credentials, certifications, medical records, prescriptions, legal documents, or compliance certifications intended to be presented as genuine
  • Create fraudulent financial instruments, fake investment prospectuses, or content designed to facilitate financial fraud (including pump-and-dump schemes)
  • Use the Service to generate fake academic credentials, degrees, or transcripts
  • Create AI-generated spam at scale for link farms, SEO manipulation, or mass unsolicited messaging

Intellectual Property Violations

  • Reproduce substantial portions of copyrighted works without authorization or fair use basis
  • Generate content that knowingly infringes on trademarks, trade secrets, or patents
  • Misrepresent the authorship or origin of generated content in a manner that deceives others
  • Use outputs to train, fine-tune, or build competing AI models without our express written consent

Service Abuse & System Integrity

  • Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access the Service without prior written authorization
  • Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or disable usage limits, rate limiting, paywalls, or any technical restrictions
  • Share, resell, sublicense, or redistribute your account access or API credentials to third parties
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent free trial limits, bans, or plan restrictions
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code, model weights, prompts, or proprietary data underlying the Service
  • Attempt to extract, scrape, or systematically harvest the Service's source lists, citation databases, or other proprietary data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or any connected systems
  • Conduct credential stuffing, account takeover attempts, or unauthorized access to any account
  • Attempt to jailbreak, manipulate, or extract system-level prompts from the AI models used in the Service
  • Submit inputs designed to cause the AI to produce outputs that violate this policy (prompt injection attacks)

Privacy & Data Violations

  • Input personally identifiable information belonging to third parties without their consent
  • Use the Service to profile, surveil, or collect data about individuals without their knowledge or lawful basis
  • Generate content designed to facilitate unauthorized access to others' personal data or accounts

4. Academic Use

NeuraWrite is a research and writing assistance tool. Features including document generation and humanization are provided for legitimate research, drafting, and learning purposes. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use complies with their institution's academic integrity policies.

  • Users must review and comply with their institution's AI and academic integrity policies before submitting AI-assisted work
  • NeuraWrite does not encourage, endorse, or facilitate academic dishonesty or plagiarism
  • Users bear full personal responsibility for all use of generated content in academic settings and any resulting disciplinary consequences
  • NeuraWrite may cooperate with institutional inquiries if required by law or valid legal process

5. Content Standards

Regardless of the purpose, all use of the Service must comply with these content standards. You must not use NeuraWrite to generate, facilitate, or assist with content that:

  • Contains hate speech, slurs, or content that dehumanizes individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, or other protected characteristics
  • Is sexually explicit or pornographic in nature
  • Sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or harms minors in any way
  • Provides detailed instructions for creating weapons, explosives, or dangerous substances
  • Is designed to manipulate, exploit, or deceive vulnerable individuals including those experiencing mental health crises
  • Promotes, glorifies, or recruits for terrorist organizations or hate groups
  • Facilitates discrimination in employment, housing, credit, or public accommodations based on protected characteristics

6. Commercial Use of AI Outputs

Content you generate using NeuraWrite may be used for commercial purposes subject to the following:

  • You may use outputs in client work, publications, marketing materials, and business documents provided you hold an active paid subscription
  • You may not resell access to the Service itself or offer a competing AI writing service built on NeuraWrite outputs or infrastructure
  • You may not represent AI-generated content as entirely human-authored where such representation would be materially deceptive to the recipient
  • You remain solely responsible for verifying that outputs do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights before commercial use

7. Geographic Restrictions

The Service is not available to individuals or entities located in, or acting on behalf of governments of, countries or territories subject to comprehensive U.S. government sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), including but not limited to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. You represent that you are not on any U.S. government denied-party list. Use of the Service in violation of applicable sanctions laws is strictly prohibited.

8. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP — including abuse, illegal content, or misuse of the platform — please report it promptly:

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reports may be made anonymously. We will not retaliate against anyone who reports a violation in good faith.

9. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in the following actions at our sole discretion, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation:

Warning

First-time minor violations may receive a written notice. You will be given an opportunity to correct your behavior.

Temporary Suspension

Repeated minor violations or moderate violations may result in temporary account suspension while we investigate.

Permanent Termination

Severe violations or repeated policy breaches will result in immediate, permanent account termination without refund.

Legal Action

We may pursue civil or criminal legal remedies for violations causing harm to NeuraWrite, our users, or third parties. We will cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations and preserve records as required by law.

We reserve the right to remove any content and terminate any account at our sole discretion for violations of this policy. Enforcement actions are not limited to the tiers above — we may take any action we deem appropriate given the circumstances.

Appeals: If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may appeal by contacting support@neurawrite.ai within 30 days of the action. Include your account email and a description of the circumstances. We will review your appeal and respond within 10 business days. Appeals do not guarantee reinstatement.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Non-material clarifications are effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
