Chat overview
Workspace Chat is multi-turn, saved per session under your account—use it for research, outlines, rewrites, and short deliverables.

Chat is the always-on assistant inside the signed-in product. It handles questions, outlines, rewrites, and shorter drafts when you do not need the full essay builder.
What Chat is good for
- Fast iteration — Tighten a paragraph, compare two angles, or ask for a bulleted plan before you commit to a long document.
- Research-style answers — When your plan includes web-backed modes, answers can include links you can verify.
- Handoff to documents — You can start in Chat, then move to Create when you need outline approval and export.
How sessions work
- Each thread is a session you can reopen from the sidebar; messages are stored with your account so you can pick up later on another device you are signed into.
- Public Aura help (the
/helppage and site widget) uses a separate, optional browser key for guests. That flow is not the same storage model as Workspace Chat. - Treat Chat like any cloud editor: do not paste secrets you would not put in a shared document.
Word usage
Chat draws from the same monthly word pool as long-form generation. See Chat and your word allowance for detail.
Next step
Open Chat and start a session from the workspace shell.
